Why scotch guard carpets? Scotchgarding carpets makes the carpet fibres resistant to spills and stains. The scotch guarding spray prevents spills/stains from setting into the fibers of the carpet even if they are not wiped up immediately. To apply scotch guard to carpets, a liquid is sprayed onto the carpet, the liquid is then pushed into the fibers of the carpet by a steam machine. One problem that customers often notice after steam cleaning or scotch guarding carpets is a musty smell in the room where steam scotch guarding was done, no need to worry the smell will only last for a few hours. We often try to prevent this by letting open some windows and/or turning on a fan while our steam cleaner is running through your home or commercial space.
